Only 17 miles from O’Hare International airport, Lincolnshire has excellent road accessibility via Illinois Route 22, also known as Half Day Road by Lincolnshire-area residents, I-94, and Route 21.  Lincolnshire also borders on two watersheds, the Des Plaines River and the Chicago River.

The school districts for Lincolnshire residents include District 125, Adlai E. Stevenson High School) and District 103, the Laura B. Sprague Elementary School, Half Day Elementary School, and Daniel Wright Junior High School.
